My standard disclaimer about vinyl: As with all vinyl records, there always are likely to be at least some pops, clicks and other surface noise, so do not expect flawlessly pristine CD sound quality. I grade on the following scale: Like New, Very Good (some flaws, nothing major), Good (more noticeable flaws, but still acceptable), Fair (looking pretty bad, but not a total disaster) and Poor (extremely bad with major defects).

This auction is for a collectible vintage vinyl copy of the 1987 U2 promo-only 12-inch record "The Joshua Tree Interview Their Words & Music," which also comes with a letter from Island Records (with the U2 Joshua Tree logo at top). Island Records label, catalog number PR 2049. Each side is 29:45 long, consisting of interviews with Bono and The Edge by WBCN-FM DJ Carter Alan, conducted on April 7, 1987, at the beginning of U2's tour that year. (NOTE: Although the letter says it comes with a copy of both this record and a promo 12-inch of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," this auction is for only the letter and the interview record. I am selling the "I Still Haven't Found..." 12-inch as a separate auction.)

I am the original and only owner of this copy. The record (and letter) are Like New. The outer jacket is Very Good, with some crease marks and a saw-cut notch at the top of the spine. (NOTE: I have several other U2 vinyl albums and 12-inch singles up for bids right now, so be sure to check out my other auctions. Win more than one and save big on shipping!)

Overall condition: Jacket VG, record Like New, letter Like New.

Jacket: Very Good, but with some crease marks and with a notch at top of spine.

Record: Like New, looks unplayed and sounds great!

Inner sleeve: Plain white paper inner sleeve has no splits.

Add only 50 cents for each additional auction of mine after the first that can be shipped by Media Mail (which includes records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, Blu-rays and books, but not comic books). Combined auctions will be shipped in bigger boxes, obviously.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: eBay adds a sometimes substantial premium to the cost of international shipping as part of their Global Shipping service. None of that extra money goes to me, because I only get exactly the same shipping amount that a US bidder would pay. So don't blame me if eBay's shipping prices to other countries are high, because I have absolutely no control over them! ALSO: eBay's Global Shipping Program is the only method that I use to ship to international bidders. So whatever price eBay's shipping calculator lists is how much shipping will cost you, there are no other alternatives.
