U2 - RATTLE AND HUM + 8PG ROCK WORLD MAGAZINE SUPPLEMENT
 
Near mint [sound] original, double vinyl album with inner/lyric sleeves + FREE POSTAGE TO UK ADDRESSES


This auction is for not only an original ‘live’ U2 double vinyl album - “Rattle And Hum”, but also a special 8-page U2 Rock World magazine supplement issued in 1993.

Double album, recorded at various dates on the band’s 1987/8 Joshua Tree tour, released on the Island label in 1988 (Catalogue number U27, matrices A1/B3/C10/D7), understood - though it’s not stated anywhere on the records or the packaging - to have been manufactured in the UK and played four or five times at most, after being recorded to another medium for in-car listening/enjoyment.

17 Tracks:
Side 1   Helter Skelter; Van Diemen’s Land; Desire & Hawkmoon 269.
Side 2   All Along The Watchtower; I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For; Freedom For My People (Spoken); Silver And Gold & Pride (In The Name Of Love).
Side 3   Angel Of Harlem; Love Rescue Me; When Love Comes To Town & Heartland.
Side 4  God Part II; The Star Spangled Banner (Instrumental); Bullet The Blue Sky & All I Want Is You.

Condition:
Vinyl:          No marks, still very shiny and with a little of the static usually only present on new discs, plays with full, clear sound and maybe just the occasional instance of extraneous surface noise on the run-ins/outs and during/between the tracks. [Mint-].
Label:         Completely clean with no spindle marks at all and no other blemishes or other signs of use/deterioration.  [Mint-]
Sleeve(s):  Gatefold outer sleeve - matt finish and designed by DZN - has a few small creases (near the edges), sporadic light rubbing/wear on the edges/corners, minimal feathering on the open edges, some very minor scuffs/scrapes and light handling marks on the outer surfaces and, only visible in direct light, (a) the tiniest hint of front ringwear and (b) some security-related information at the top/left on the back.
Otherwise though, this almost 30 years old sleeve still has strong colouring, a solid and easily-readable spine with no obvious deterioration, firm/sharp edges with no seam splits, immaculate inner (gatefold) surfaces, smooth minimally-blemished outer surfaces with no writing, stains or other obvious deterioration/damage beyond that mentioned above. The inner lyric sleeves - which were supplemented with plastic liners after purchase - have just some very light storage-related surface scuffs and minimal hints of ringwear but are otherwise virtually as new. [Mint -]

Also included in this auction is an 8-page U2 colour supplement from Rock World magazine issued in 1993. Essentially an historical article (with 20+ photos), it includes some comments from Eno and a few quotes from the band. Measuring approximately 11.75” x 8.75”, this supplement has some light traces of possible water-damage near the top and minor handling marks, but is otherwise in excellent condition.

PAYMENT

I accept payment via PayPal ONLY, so a PayPal account is required for you to bid and, as I require payment to be completed within 4 days of auction close, you MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS in your (Paypal) account at the time of the auction closing, because payment by e-cheque - the way Paypal makes payments when there are insufficient funds to make an instant payment - will not usually arrive within the 4 days I allow. Please do not ask me to make an exception in your case as I no longer respond to these requests and have made my payment preferences clear at the start of this paragraph.

You may bid on multiple auctions ending on different days if the last auction ends seven days or less after the first. If you are bidding or want to bid on more than one of my auctions, please let me know after you win the first item/auction, so I know to delay sending your invoice until you tell me that you have finished bidding, You may pay for items at any time, but if you win multiple items you must then ensure that you complete full payment for them within four days of my sending the final invoice.

If payment is not received within the specified time and via the payment method I have specified, the item may go to the next highest bidder or be relisted. If appropriate I will file non-paying bidder alerts with Ebay in order to recover my final value fees & will block that bidder from my future auctions and - if payment is only received as a result of my filing non-paying bidder - I will not accept a return or offer a refund if you subsequently have a complaint.

If you have a problem that may delay payment please let me know. I am a nice seller, but I don't like to be mucked about or have my payment terms ignored.

POSTAGE & SHIPPING

Postage rates are specified on each auction. (Not advised, but parcel post and surface mail rates are avaiIable if desired-please ask). I always weigh items for postage costs, and allow a bit extra for the packaging. I put a lot of effort and care into packaging, and often use custom, cut to fit sturdy cardboard, tubes, etc.. that has given excellent delivery results over the past 6 years. I will be happy to combine multiple purchases and hopefully be able to reduce the postage costs on your total. Royal Mail includes compensation cover (insurance) free on values currently up to £40 and, in some circumstances. I may add insurance on items over that amount for my own protection and yours.

I now normally ship twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays (if a holiday then the following day). Your package will usually be posted no later than the first Tuesday or Friday following payment, and I shall notify you when it has been mailed.
