A hard one to track own these days. You only ever come across the re-issue. This is the proper first press of this album with A-1 and B-1 matrices. It has the original E.J. Day Group envelope sleeve with all flaps still attached and untorn!!
I have played two sides of the album. It played very nicely with only very light static at times. Awesome poweful audio and great songcraft.
Vinyl: EX . A few hairlines are visible but the two sides I played hardly had any static at all. The audio is simply stunning and this really takes you back to the day!! No jumps NO sticks and NO skips. A very underrated album that keeps growing on you. Traffic had it all and it is rather surprising this was not an absolute smash hit album at the time. This is a tremendously well executed progressive album and it was a joy to listen to it once again.
Gatefold sleeve: VG+ . The Earliest 1st issue E. J. Day 'parchment' gatefold sleeve is also in great condition! The only other times I have seen this sleeve it has been absolutely trashed. The parchment effect usually ages very badly indeed, and discolours quickly. This one however is lovely, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind! The gatefold opens out perfectly to reveal a pristine Nr Mint- un-laminated inner! There is some light wear on the spine making the text partly legible. Light wear on the edges. There is just a small 'rough' patch in the top left corner, where a price label may have been, but it is virtually invisible. There are NO creases!! This sleeve grades as a superb VG+ to EX.
The inner is EX.
Labels are NM with only minor spindling. NO writing, NO marks. These are the extremely rare variety of the earliest ROUGH textured labels.
