Description
This is an original pressing of the only album by the group Tomorrow and is of course on the original Sire/London label released in January 1968. It is also a promotional, with the small sticker on the back reading "for demonstration purposes only, not for sale". This is quite possibly one of the greatest recordings of the 1960s. Tomorrow was: guitar- Steve Howe (later of Yes fame), vocals- Keith West (referred to on Bowies Spiders from Mars LP cover with the "K. West" sign), bass- John Wood, drums- John Adler (later of The Pretty Things fame). This album combines psychedelic, pop, rock, mod, and every other style of the 60s. Most famous perhaps is the song My White Bicycle, a British psychedelic classic (and persons in the U.K. will remember the cover version by Nazareth put out as a single in the mid-70s, no doubt from the Hair of the Dog sessions). The group was an opening act for the likes of the early Pink Floyd and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. But by the Autumn of 1968 the group had split up. This group should have the long neglected attention it deserves. The LP is in what I'd call VG+ condition, the cover in Good condition, just the slight ring wear, but no tears, and the spine is in excellent condition. A 2nd or 3rd edition of this LP on some small independent label very recently realised over $20 on Ebay.
