Description

Tim Buckley was one of the most distinct voices of the late 60's and early 70's. Try to classify him - folk, jazz or just a distinct and lonely voice? He is undefineable and remains, probably largely due to his untimely and absurd suicide, an enigmatic figure. I only konw this, his music touched me as much as any voice. The side features Tim, his guitar, his plaintive voice and his unique tunes supported by John Balkin on upright bass and electric bass, Lee Underwood on guitar, electric piano and pipe organ, Buzz Gardner on trumpet and flugelhorn, Maury Baker on drums and tympani and Bunk Gardner on alto flute and tenor sax. Ephemeral and clean, it is some of the best of the best. It is the classic Buckley blend of folk, rock and light jazz, such a personal style!

The side is in the original shrinkwrap but moisture got to the lower portion leaving a mildew stain on the lower 15 per cent. This is most evident on the back (please see photo). This happened some 30 years ago and the mildew is dead. The record is absolutely clean, not a scratch, not a scuff, near mint. No splits in the jacket, very light corner wear - it is a gem.
