Description
OK, so last month I sold the Yes LA! EP and ragged on the Boston scene. Now let's take the other point of view. Yes, the early LA scene wasn't so serious (although the very first hardcore record was from a SoCal band, the Middle Class' Out of Vogue - I sold that 7" last month too) and the attitude was mostly more frolicsome and drunken, while the real hardcore attitude was menace and pain and a more realistic view of your shitty existence; plus the weather sucks and you can't do jack about it. So wake up and open your eyes, you're not gonna be a loser forever in your mom's basement; take a stand, mean what you say, and make a fucking difference - SO YES BOSTON! Whatever. The wax is legit NM and I will say Excellent/NM on the jacket due only to some slight sticker residue - but clean images/gloss and clean edges - plus there is a $3.50 sticker on the label. Not bad for a 33 year old record.
Note - I photographed several LPs on a bright fall day and on some you can see in the vinyl my reflection and the reflection of some decorative dried up branch things my wife put on the table. Also, some labels and coloring on various jackets may look uneven or faded when comparing front to back, etc. I assure you that everything is uniform and I stand behind all my records. For example some Posh Boy labels look uneven and shaded, but they are in reality clean and unfaded.
Keep in mind I sample all listings on a full Linn Sondek setup and go in LOUD. Mostly original owner/purchased in L.A. in 70’s/80’s from the original Poobah and Aron’s Record Stores in Pasadena and Hollywood. I am releasing my HUGE original punk collection, 100 per month. 100’s of LPs and 7”s remain – check me out! Everything else purchased along the way, including at the back of club tables at places like Raji's, Cathay de Grande, Club Lingerie, Madame Wong's.
