Description

This grouping consists of a COMPLETE SERIES 3 SET and four other "This I Believe" records. The set and records are in GOOD to EXCELLENT condition overall. The cover on the set is in GOOD+ condition with some surface, edge and corner wear, some minor marks and a solid spine. The 8 records are FAIR to EXCELLENT with some of the tracks having skips. I normally do not list records with skips unless they are RARE. This is a RADIO STATION copy, with the broadcast schedule and instructions on the inside front cover. This series was started on July 28th, 1952. The 8 records in the set have 65 WORLD PERSONALITIES sharing their experiences and beliefs. There are wonderful and profound thoughts shared during the troubling times of THE COLD WAR. These are unique commentaries and very much applicable to our troubled times OVER 50 YEARS later!!!!! The other 4 records are from Series One. The personalities are too numerous to mention and some of the most profound comments come from the lesser known individuals. But some of the guests are: Viscountess Astor, Joyce Grenfell, Herbert Hodge, George Sokolsky, Dr. Max Krone, Lord Oakley, Rebecca West, Mrs. Marty Mann, Sir Philip Joubert,  Carroll Carroll, Mischa Richter, Anne Rombeau, J Arthur Rank, Lauritz Melchior, Gillie Potter, Thomas Dowd, Thomas Mann, Darryl Zanuck, Pearl Buck, William O. Douglas, Virginia Sale, Norman Cousins, James Q. Du Pont and EDWARD R MURROW himself!! There are 97 commentaries in all 12 records!!!! I will be listing numerous LP's. All sales are final so please ask questions before you bid. Multiple purchases will be combined for shipping. PLEASE NOTE: Purchases of 45's will have a $1.50 charge for the mailer. Purchases of 1-5 albums will have a $2.00 charge for the mailer; 6-15 albums will have a charge of $3.00 for the mailer. THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE MAILING CHARGE! I will ship internationally via airmail, the price to be determined by the country of destination. All used albums have a protective paper sleeve on the LP and a protective cover on the album. Please see the photos and email me with any questions.
