I am selling my most beloved and most prized record in my collection, The Triple Decker Record. I am the original owner and bought it at the Third Man Official Store in Nashville, TN. I arrived at Third Man before the sun came up, skipped class, and waited all day to get my hands on this one of a kind piece of art. The A-Side is The Dead Weather's "Blue Blood Blues" while the B-Side is a live recording of "No Hassle Night/I Just Wanna Make Love To You." But the the real reason this record is so special is that there is a 7" with unreleased material inside of the 12" that can only be taken out by cutting the record open and pulling it out, which destroys the 12". Like he said, it definitely is a mind game.
It truly is a revolutionary step not only in the world of music but in art as well. The record has not been cracked open and never played once. It has been sitting quietly in its sleeve in a non smoking, non pet home. The winner will be left with the choice of whether or not to crack it open and play the unreleased 7" inside. It is only 1 of 300, with 50 of them being sent out randomly in the mail. This is by far the most valuable record in the Third Man catalog (tied with the flexi-disc) and will become a true collectors item that could possibly be auctioned off in auction houses several years down the road. I am just moving on past certain hobbies and know that this record needs to be in the hands of someone who will truly love it.
I am willing to ship internationally but only under the circumstances of payment within 24 hours. I've had a few bad transactions with people across seas and the shipping of this somewhat fragile record will be taken care of very strongly if the winner is in Europe.
