Description

This is the deep-groove RVG-etched pressing of Thelonious Monk “Quintets” on the yellow and black West 50th Street (Side A) and New Jersey (Side B) labels of Prestige PRLP 7053. The playing surface is MINT, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated West 50th Street cover has the famous Andy Warhol artwork (he collaborated with Red Miles for the final cover design);  As you can see the cover shows some foxing, discoloration, a dinged bottom right corner and a dinged top left corner. there are no tears in the cover though. Did I say the vinyl is mint.
 Personnel include Sonny Rollins, Frank Foster, Ray Copeland, Julius Watkins, and Art Blakey.
