Description

This is an auction of an original vintage RARE Jazz LP  Thelonious Monk Septet - Monk's Music - RIVERSIDE 12-242 BLUE and SILVER LETTERING tape and reel labels with DG deep grooves. Performed by Thelonious Monk with Ray Copeland, Gigi Gryce, Coleman Hawkins, John Coltrane, Wilbur Ware, and Art Blakey. A beautiful Jazz classic - sublime!

This is a NO reserve price auction! Please see the ENLARGED HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOS.

Record is visually graded Mint- great labels with almost no spindle marks - PLAYS Mint- VERY QUITE, cover is G due to writing at upper left, back upper and lower right, a total split at top edge, 10" split at spine and a 3" split at lower right. If you have a better cover, this is the record for you, if not - a great Monk LP and you can repair the cover as you see fit.
