Description
Here we have an excellent record from The Young Folk- Ribble Valley Dream. Would make a great addition to anyone’s collection as it is a VERY RARE copy or for any fans of The Young Folk. This is the first known release on the Midas Recording label. All records have been cleaned for grading. Both sleeve and record have been graded in accordance with UK grading standards. The record has been play tested and is in Good Plus (G+) condition. Visually, The record has a few marks and hairlines on both sides. Side 1 plays well for the most part- there is a scuff mark on A3 (see photos) which causes a 'thud' noise for about 14 revolutions, but not before the singing in the song starts by then it has faded and eventually stops. besides that, side 1 plays well with a few faint pops and a little crackling in quieter parts and some faint background noise but nothing overpowering apart from the aforementioned thud noise on A3. Side 2 has a few more noticeable marks and hairlines but nothing deep or feelable. Again, side 2 also plays well (possibly closer to Very Good) with some minor but faint pops in places, a little crackling in the quieter parts but decent quality audio nonetheless. The labels are exceptionally clean, somehow no finger-marks or blemishes. This record also comes with the original Sleeve which is in Good Plus (G+) condition. The sleeve has general edgewear, quite a bit of ringwear on the back of the sleeve, wear along the opening of the sleeve (particularly along the back) which has made it quite frayed, some creasing to the laminate front as well as a lot of dirty marks on the front and back and quite a lot of discolouration to the flipback sleeve. There is a small tear along the back of the sleeve from the opening (see photos). There is also some writing and pen marks on the back at the top and bottom (potentially signed by Juliet Swiatzcak of The Young Folk?). Besides that, the sleeve is in tact and has a legible spine so no splits or tears. As a result of the sleeve's condition, I would preferably keep the inner sleeve outside of the main sleeve to prevent any further damage. I have also housed the record in a brand new plain white sleeve and also included the original inner sleeve it came with, all of which contained within a protective sleeve.
