     The Vontastics' career mirrors that of the Ideals, another Chicago group, in that each had three records that achieved some popularity outside of Chicago. They even recorded for the same label, St. Lawrence Records.Powered by two lead singers, Kenneth Gholar & Jose Holmes, a prolific songwriter, Bobby Lee Newsome, and Raymond Penn, the Vontastics' sound was fresh and emotional and only lacked the proper exposure.
     Labels have little minor storage wear with a drill hole.The very pristine vinyl has seen little if any play and remains in near mint condition.

SS : still sealed in original sales condition
M: in mint condition is flawless ,no signs of wear
NM: usually one scuff or small hard to see scratch,very close to flawless
Ex: excellent condition,item has very slight signs of wear
VG++ : light scuffing a scratching but has little to no effect play
VG+: obvious signs of wear ,play is effected
VG: parts of vinyl are nearly unplayable
