The Velvet Underground & Nico Lp V 5008

True original first 1st press mono produced by Andy Warhol ca. 1967

Andy Warhol managed the Velvet Underground and also created the album cover featuring a silkscreen banana.

Album is #13 on Rolling Stones greatest albums of all time.

Album is visually graded
Lp- vg+ / scratch on track #4
Record could use a good cleaning before playing
Original Verve records inner sleeve included

Please reference pictures to see condition of the banana cover.
It does however, feature an upside down picture of Eric Emerson , on the back, who at the time didnt give The Velvet Underground permission to use his image and proceeded to threaten to sue Verve and resulted in the company slapping black stickers on subsequent copies until eventually airbrushing Emerson completely out of the background. Just wanted to give a little info on it since its a rare image. This version in mono is the rarest of all three (3) versions of the back cover.
