Description

This is my original, MPO first press, copy of The Strokes Is This It.


I bought this from Rough Trade in Putney South West London on the day of release, and it comes with the carrier bag, and the promotional insert that, to the best of my knowledge, is very limited and only came with a very first copies of this massive LP.

The vinyl is Near Mint both sides as it should be as I never played this copy. I’m always reluctant to grade anything, as mint as there are one or two minute marks on either side, overall it’s beautiful, glossy and shiny and pretty much pristine.


I have cleaned both sides of the vinyl with my Pro-ject vacuum vinyl cleaner, it’s come up beautifully and I will place the record record in a brand-new anti static sleeve.


The promotional insert advertising the vinyl in the CD is Mint.


The plastic bag was folded up and placed inside the sleeve when I purchased it and these creases are still in light evidence. Apart from that it’s in very good shape.


The textured, unlaminated, First Press sleeve has very light signs of age related colour wear and there is a manufacturing line that lightly runs across the bottom of the sleeve.


There are no signs of shelf wear or seam splits, it has no creases or bends etc, the only tiny ding is on the back of the sleeve in the bottom left corner and is about half a centimetre long, I have photographed it, apart from that it is in outstanding, perfect, shape.
