ABOUT THIS RECORD
All BBC Transcription Discs are very rare, but most are Top of the Pops shows and have just one track from your favourite band.
Their value tends to fluctuate between £50 - £100; not because of any particular rarity, but usually because of the cult popularity of the other bands sharing that TOTP episode. i.e., mix the Stranglers with Queen and Motorhead and the record will obviously sell for more.
But this disc is really special because it contains only the Stranglers; live in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1983. As you will appreciate, you don’t get a film at the Hammersmith Odeon (and you don’t get a rainbow at the Rainbow either).
Unlike its brother (the later BBC Transcription Disc #356, live at the Dominion) this one was never broadcast by the BBC, so has become a highly treasured item.
And adding to this item’s value is the accompanying full BBC track listing as pictured.
Fans waited a very long time between “X-Certs” and “All Live”, so this live album has the perfect track listing to cover that middle ground, spanning The Raven, Meninblack and La Folie era.

My Stranglers records are all stored in polythene sleeves within proper record storage boxes. All are in excellent condition for their age, and any flaws have been honestly reported.
