Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Since 'The Headmaster Ritual' was never originally released as a single in the UK, appearing only as a withdrawn CD single release in 1988 and in the 2008 Rhino re-issues, there is no 12" vinyl UK pressing of this record. For this single release in Holland, Morrissey designed the pictured unique 'cowboy' sleeve artwork which was apparently a still taken from the film 'The Uncle'. This record is the only place in which this artwork can be found in the 12" format, there being no such 12" re-issues, and is therefore a very nice addition to any Smiths collection. Note that the copy being auctioned has the title of the track "Meat Is Murder" spelled correctly on the B-Side record label.The vinyl and labels are in terrific near mint condition, being barely played. There are practically no surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl, even when held to the light. The outer sleeve is in excellent condition, with just some mild wear and 'rubbing' to the sleeve edges at the top and bottom in places; similarly there is some minor wear to the edges in several places, but no creases, writing or tears anywhere. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.
