Description
You are looking at an original primal rocker, The Satan's Raisin' Hell. This LP is an early private press rock album which is very tough to find.
The sleeve is pretty awesome and this one looks great with the exception of an 8 inch seam split on the bottom. The corners are in tact and there is minor ring wear. There appears to be a small blue paint spot on the front of the cover and on the back there is a small print name written in blue marker on the top right. Overall considering the age of the album and the defects I rate this as a VG cover.
The vinyl is graded as VG. There are several scuffs and scratches on both sides most of which appear to be paper scuffs. The album has its ups and downs sound quality-wise.
Side one plays very solid overall. The opening track church key has a defect at the begininng which sounds a bit like cue burn at the start but is very enjoyable after the initial sound deterioration. There is very little surface noise overall on side one.
Side two has some issues with the Twist and Mink slide the first two tracks. When the vocals pick up in intensity on The Twist there is a static-like sound. This may vary on different turntables. The needle i use is very sensetive. On Mink Slide there are also some static-like parts when the guitars pick up in intensity. By the time side two reaches summertime though it is very enjoyable the rest of the way through, again playing with very minor surface noise overall much the same as side one.
Overall this is an enjoyable copy of this immense rarity.
