Relix Reborn

The Replacements - Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash

From the cracked basements and smoke-stained clubs of Minneapolis rose The Replacements, brandishing noise, wit, and reckless youth like weapons against the quiet order of the airwaves. Their debut, Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash, first struck in 1981, is here preserved in a US repress from 1988 or later—a document of punk’s raw pulse mutating into rock ’n’ roll defiance.

This copy has been tested, its grooves still carrying the chaos: Paul Westerberg’s sneer, Bob Stinson’s jagged guitar, and the band’s immortal refusal to play safe. The jacket bears the scars of age, yet within spins the raucous scripture of a generation too restless to bow.

Key Features:

  • US repress, 1988 or later, following the original 1981 Twin/Tone release
  • Captures the raw, unpolished early Replacements sound before major-label polish
  • An essential cornerstone of the American punk-to-alt-rock transition

Key TracKs:

  • Takin’ a Ride — ignition spark; two minutes of wired momentum
  • Johnny’s Gonna Die — a bruised ballad, smoke curling through the noise
  • Shiftless When Idle — ragged grin, street-corner swing, pure early ’Mats

What Else I Offer

'Tis a fine selection of relix from days past that I offer--collectibles, games, music, and beyond that hark back to a time when craftsmanship and nostalgia reigned supreme. Each item, be it a cherished vinyl or a well-loved action figure, is inspected with the utmost care, and should it pass muster, 'tis made ready for a new home.

I treat each piece as a guardian of memories, ensuring that what once brought joy can do so once more. Whether it be the crackle of a record or the click of an old controller, thou art certain to find something worthy of thine admiration.

I am most welcome to inquire with any questions or details thou dost seek!

Grading System - Vinyls, CDs, Cassettes

As for the grading system, I do lean upon the wisdom of the ancient Goldmine Guide.

  • Mint (M)
  • Near Mint (NM or M-)
  • Excellent (EX)
  • Very Good Plus (VG+)
  • Very Good (VG)
  • Good Plus (G+)
  • Good (G)

I do visually grade all items and, should I happen to spin a record or test a tape, thou shalt find it duly noted in the description.

*As for CD and cassette cases, I shan't assign them a formal grade--unless they be of particular rarity or distinction. Should any bear the marks of misfortune, such as cracks or notable blemishes, rest assured, I shall bring it to thy attention with all due haste.*

*Furthermore, each record is bestowed with a new, protective, anti-static outer and inner sleeve, shielding it from the cruel hands of time!*

Shipping and Returns

Ah, now for the finer details, lest ye be curious: Handling time? A mere 1-2 business days, unless fate decides to meddle with some emergency or grand affair.

In which case, two days shall suffice to ensure all is well and thine item is shipped forthwith.

Rest assured, we take great care in ensuring all treasures are properly packaged and safely shipped to thee. I do my utmost best to maintain and professionally clean all items before they embark on their journey.

Should any foul issue arise--though we pray it doth not--simply send word, and we shall resolve the matter with all haste, so peace may once again reign.

*A lot more shall be coming soon...*
