A near-mint LP with only the lightest of surface marks. Possibly played a few times, looks new: beautifully glossy and clean. Cover is a VG with wear at the lower-right corner and above, 1" spit in center bottom spine, otherwise clear and crisp.  Universal Life Church, 1981, no number? Great reggae tunes, happy bidding!

Shipping:

All of our records are shipped in quality cardboard LP mailers with appropriate padding and in clear plastic sleeves to secure and protect them for transit. Items bought in bulk lots (of over 2 LPs) will not be individually sleeved, except by special request at additional cost. We are more than happy to provide combined shipping on multiple items. 

For customers in the contiguous United States, postage is as follows for single or double LPs:

Media Mail: $4 for the first LP, 2$ for each additional LP.

Priority Mail $7 for the first LP, 3$ for each additional LP.

First Class International Mail: $15 for the first LP, 3$ for each additional LP

Priority Mail International $35 for the first LP, 5$ for each additional LP.

Registered International Mail: $25, 5$ for each additional LP

Express International Mail: Please inquire

*Some International destinations incur extra charges. International bidders should inquire to assure your country is covered under these rates.

Grading: 

We have been buying and selling records for decades and have worked at and managed record stores in addition to professionally converting vinyl to digital formats. All records are visually graded unless otherwise noted. Please note that many imperceptible factors can degrade the sound of an LP, including pressing defects, vinyl quality, recording techniques, and mastering, among others. Please be aware that it is possible that an item will not play at the standard to which it was graded. We stand by our visual grading and do out best to great fairly and accurately and appreciate your understanding of factors beyond our control and observational skills.

Our grading system is based on the Goldmine Standard, and is as follows*:

SS (Still Sealed) – Unopened, new LPs in their original factory shrink wrap. These records are generally presumed to be mint, but that may not always be the case due to manufacturing defects, sleeve scuffing and minor warping. For these reasons we unable to guarantee the condition of the record inside and sealed records are non-returnable once opened.

M (Mint) – A perfect and likely unplayed record. This is the highest grade we will give a record that is not sealed and we use it incredibly sparingly.

NM (Near Mint) – A like-new record with only the slightest evidence that it has ever been played or handled. 

EX (Excellent) – Close to like-new with only very minor indicators of use that will not affect playback. EX records should satisfy all but the most critically demanding audiophiles. Covers will be very sharp with only the slightest defects.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Used but well-taken care-of and will exhibit only minor defects. VG+ records may show signs of wear including, but not limited to scuffing, minor scratches, slight warps, spindle marks, and light ring wear, cutouts or other markings, and minor seam wear on covers and labels. This is the lowest grade most audiophiles will consider listening to, but is a great copy for the average listener.

VG (Very Good) – Average, well-used records that still sound good enough for the majority of listeners to enjoy. These records will usually play with some surface noise from scratches, scuffs, and groove wear. They may lack the gloss of cleaner, factory-fresh records and have deep scratches and visible groove wear. Covers will show signs of handling

Good - We try not to sell records below VG-, except for very rare items or items bundled in lots. These records are not terrible, but will play back with considerable noise due to serious wear and scratches. They should not skip, but this of course depends considerably on your turntable setup. Covers in this condition show considerable wear but are not trashed. Tape, fully split seams, heavy writing and tears are common. These are often considered filler copies which someone might get until a better copy is available.

Fair & Poor - These are very low grades and we rarely sell records of this low quality. These are basically "play-at-your-own-risk" which are in very poor condition all around and have been neglected or abused.

* We may amend a grade with a plus (+) or minus (-) indicating that the record is slightly better or worse than one of the standard grades. We do not use multiple plus or minus signs (++ or --) as that is just plain confusing. For example, A record that is not quite Near Mint but a bit better than Excellent could be EX+ or NM- depending on which grade most accurately represents the condition.
