Description

A QUICK MESSAGE TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS , APOLOGIES FOR MY ABSENCE , AFTER NEARLY A YEAR OFF DUE TO LOOKING AFTER AND THEN THE SUDDEN VERY SAD LOSS OF MY FATHER , I AM NOW BACK WITH A GREAT SELECTION OF MANY VERY RARE AND MY USUAL OTHER VERY COLLECTABLE 7" AND LP RECORDS , I HAVE LOTS OF FANTASTIC RECORDS TO LIST SO PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON MY LISTINGS , MANY THANKS . DUE TO THE QUANTITY , I AM CUTTING DOWN THE LENGTHS OF MY DESCRIPTIONS .

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RECORDS , CD's , CASSETTES AND DVD's ARE FULLY PLAY TESTED FROM START TO FINISH ON BOTH SIDES AND INCLUDING ALL SIDES FOR ALL DOUBLE AND TRIPLE ALBUMS AND BOX SETS ETC THANK YOU .
ALL RECORDS ARE FULLY PLAY TESTED ON MY TRUSTY AIWA TURNTABLE AND GOOD QUALITY JVC AMP . THIS DOES ONLY HAVE A STD BASS AND TREBLE CONTROL WHICH I HAVE SET ON A HIGH " TINNY " SETTING . I LIKE TO SET IT LIKE THIS AS IT PICKS UP EVEN THE VERY SLIGHTEST BIT OF NOISE SO I KNOW I CAN DESCRIBE EVERY LP CORRECTLY ETC . I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT PLAYED ON BETTER OR TOP QUALITY SYSTEMS WITH GREATER AND MORE TECHNICAL SOUND CONTROL ETC , THESE RECORDS WILL SOUND A LOT BETTER THAN I HAVE DESCRIBED . I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I OFTEN GIVE RECORDS ANOTHER QUICK PLAY ON THE FIRST COUPLE OF TRACKS ON MY PERSONAL TOP QUALITY PIONEER SYSTEM AND I DO FIND THAT MOST OF ANY NOISES LIKE CRACKLE ETC ARE MUCH MUCH QUIETER , SOME EVEN HARDLY SOUND AT ALL . I TEST EVERY RECORD AND FIND THAT MY AIWA WILL COVER MANY OTHER SIMILAR SET UPS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE , I DID WANT TO JUST POINT THIS OUT , THANK YOU .
Please note that i do tend to use in and around the " Very Good Condition " grade for most of my records , although none are heavily scratched etc and most will just have some general light surface marks only . The only exception to this is if the record does have scratches and lots of marks etc but is very rare and collectable and will be described in greater detail . I never use " Mint " or " Near Mint " unless the record is unopened from it's original shrink wrap and is clearly unplayed . Even with these i am wary because if the record has been stored for years in maybe a damp garage or loft etc and has not been opened , then we can only presume it should be mint because we obviously can't actually see the record . Everyone obviously has their own opinions as to what is very good and excellent , but in my case , i tend to think that most , if not all records do have marks to some degree ( lots even from new ! ) purely because they are vinyl and mark easy and have been used over a considerable amount of time in most cases . This is why i use Very Good most of the times . This is also why i do go into great detail with my descriptions , as the term " Very Good " can be a bit vague . I do use " Excellent Condition " sometimes , but in my case , i would class this as not played very much at all , excellent shine and just a handful of the very lightest and small surface hairline marks only , most only being visible under a light , so you know that when i use excellent , i really do mean excellent . Lots of my records as you can see by my feedback are better than described , more better than very good and closer to near ( if not ) excellent and i do pride myself on this fact , this is why i do use mainly " Very Good " but with very detailed descriptions also of which i will say i can go a little OTT with noise and general condition and can often make a record sound bad when it really isn't , i do just try my best to say how it is , please don't forget though , that all records will obviously vary in sound quality etc on other set ups depending on the quality and type of turntable / amps and stylus etc that are being used , but please do check out all of my feedback and you will see you can bid with confidence , thank you .

The Police Message In A Bottle 7" PS  Orig Rare Tan A&M Labels Misspress ! . On UK A&M AMS 7474 . B SIDE: Landlord . I believe these were a label misspressing and don't come up too often , as we all know , the usual ones have the A&M lettering on the labels finished in green , this is not to be confused with the modern repressings which also had tan label lettering , this is very easy to tell as the labels on the modern ones have a very different print layout .

COVER: VG overall , some light denting on front and rear , a couple of slightly more prominent but still soft crease lines , a small removed sticker mark on the front top opening edge , some usual rub wear on the edges and dent / rub wear on the corners , the usual , but quite light ringwear marks are present , some generally light wear on the top opening edges and two or three very tiny knicks , no seam splits , no writing .
RECORD: Visually under normal household light conditions is a very strong between vg and nr exc ( i think a lot would say airing a little closer to the near exc side overall ) some usual wear on the blank run ins/offs , a few very faint hairlines , only really seen more at certain angles to or under a light , a couple of other very light and small non feelable non sounding surface only marks in places , but again only really seen more at certain angles to or under a light .
AUDIO:S1: ( music , not incl run ins/ offs ) : No nasty crackle or nasty ticks , some usual noise on the silent run in/ off and a light bit of noise literally for two or three seconds on the intro , but this is very light only , a couple of extremely brief bits of very very light background only noise in a couple of the quieter places , but again this really was very light background only .
AUDIO S2: ( music , not incl run ins/ offs ) : No nasty loud crackle , a couple of light ticks just after the start , some usual noise and a couple of ticks on the silent run in , a couple of extremely brief bits of very very light background only noise in a couple of the quieter places , but again this really was very light background only , some usual noise on the silent run off .
Labels: Very clean , just a very few light and usual spindle marks .
There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a nice overall shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .
All in all a very nice overall example of this now very collectable item together with great overall sound , do turn this one up and enjoy ! . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref record gradings explained thank you .
Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just fine hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality at all though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
