Description

About This Record.  This is an original first pressing U.S. copy of the Platters first and best LP on King.  This is the original black label, King 651.  Only copy I have seen in my life, how about you?  No problems; sorry about the reserve, but it is my cost for decades ago.  No, this will not go for sale again at a lesser price, and no, I will not end the auction early.  Good luck,fellow doo-wopers!  The Federal label is slightly rarer but neither of these turn up.  I've given up trying to complete this part of my collection.

In my opinion, all other Platters records should be used as frisbees or skeet shooting material (sorry about the editorial here, but this is really a GREAT LP! and I cannot say that for any other Platters lps).

The Labels  The all important labels are in VG+ (EX) condition.  NO stickers, writing, tape or tears, but some spindle marks. 

The Vinyl: The heavy vinyl looks VG (EX-), very shiny, no problems except the usual light marks

The Cover: The cover is in near mint condition but has some age marks on the back cover. Most importantly, 50% of the top seam, and 30% of the bottom seam are split.  As with all originals, there is no writing on the spine, although the spine is sharp.
