- Very Good (VG): A VG-graded record shows more significant wear, with scratches, scuffs, and surface noise that is more noticeable. The cover may have more noticeable wear, such as ring wear, seam splits, or writing.
- Good (G): Records in Good condition have significant wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, and surface noise that affects the listening experience. The cover may have major defects, such as seam splits, writing, or ring wear.
- Fair (F) or Poor (P): These are the lowest grades, indicating records with heavy wear, damage, and significant playback issues. These records are often collected for their rarity rather than their playability.
