The Folkswingers, Raga Rock LP released on World Pacific Records # WP-1846. GREAT 60's Psychedelic Sitar Rock. Seriously great music on this LP! Mono pressing. Reportedly this is the only LP featuring HARIHAR RAO, sitar master famous for teaching & leading the Hindustani Jazz Sextet (w/Emil Richards, Bill Plummer & other luminaries) in the early days of California psychedelia. Killer backing band on this LP: DENNIS BUDIMIR (electric 12 string), TOMMY TEDESCO (guitar), HOWARD ROBERTS (guitar), HERB ELLIS (guitar), BILL PITTMAN (bass), LARRY KNECHTEL (organ & elctric piano), LYLE RITZ (Fender Bass), HAL BLAINE (drums). Vinyl and front cover both in very good condition. Vinyl has a few surface marks but plays fine. Surface noise is very very minimal, mostly only apparent at the beginning of either sides and even then it's very slight. Front cover shows very slight age and wear, but it's very slight. Someone wrote some numbers on the top in blue ink, but that's the only defacing. Back cover is only in good condition, someone put 4 strips of masking tape on it and it exhibits some ink stains. No splits along any of the sides. Comes with the original World Pacific inner sleeve. This LP is a great example of swinging 60's music, would be great for DJ's or sampling.
