Description

For sale is a copy of Combat Rock by The Clash. It comes with the poster but, more importantly, it also comes with the extremely scarce promo-only Combat Rock notebook.

I bought this when it came out and it’s been with me ever since – nearly 30 years.

The condition of the vinyl is OK. It has been played but has been cared for and is still in very good condition.

The poster is machine-folded as it originally came and has never been on a wall, so no blu-tack or pin marks. But that’s by-the-by really. You can pick up tip-top copies of Combat Rock on vinyl for a few quid…

What’s important here is the PROMO ONLY Notebook issued by Sony/Epic in extremely limited numbers. The pages are all blank (it’s a notebook) and they have yellowed with age slightly; but, otherwise, it’s excellent. No writing inside or outside, no rips or stains; just natural signs of age. These rarely turn up for sale nowadays. The notebook displays a track-listing for the LP but this shows thirteen tracks including one which says Deated City. A misprint? An unreleased Clash track? Who knows? Not me!

I aim to provide an honest and accurate description but please note that, for records, I can only grade visually at the moment. I do not have the facilities to play vinyl. However, in my experience, a visual grade should be closely reflected by a play grade.

All items are sent properly and strongly packaged with a plastic sleeve and a corrugated inner for extra protection. Packing costs are £0.80 and are included in the P & P charges.
