 Transparent purple vinyl with matte gatefold sleeve with original insert reproduction.

This is a fully legitimate official licensed vinyl reissue of First Utterance, as opposed to the several bootlegs that have been on the market over the years.

Simply one of the all time great albums in the history of British underground music. At the time when First Utterance was originally released, Comus sounded like nobody else. Today, almost forty years on, they still don’t.
Listening to First Utterance is like entering a whole new strange and scary world. Once you immerse yourself in their dark folky surroundings it’s hard to even imagine wanting to escape. Quite possibly the heaviest record ever recorded with acoustic guitars.
