PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...

THE BEATLES - 'YESTERDAY'/'DIZZY MISS LIZZY'

The Beatles refused to release 'Yesterday' as a single in the UK in 1965, however it was sanctioned for release in many countries worldwide and naturally became a huge hit.

For some reason, EMI pressed a small number of copies at their UK factory in Hayes in August 1965 for export only.

The disc has black & silver Parlophone labels with the export series catalogue number: DP 563

Both labels have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

Unlike many copies of this disc, the disc's original push-out centre is still intact.

Despite not being destined for UK sale, the 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' label.

Matrices: 7XCE 18739-1 & 7XCE 18740-1

Stamper codes: 1/R & 1/M

Housed in its original & correct green & white Parlophone company sleeve.

CONDITION

Labels: MINT -

A superb set showing no spindle marks around either centre hole. There is also a tiny blemish just above the publishing credits on the 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' label.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing a few light surface marks, but nothing we would call a scratch.

Audio: EXCELLENT +

Both tracks sound much better and higher quality than on the 'Help!' LP. Each song plays cleanly & clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear or background interference.

Cover: EXCELLENT +
