Description

Extreme Rarity and Collectibility !!!!!  WOL both sides.  On the "Abba" side is written 'Bobbitown Music (BMI)'.   Of the 20 something copies I've seen in 40 years, about 3% had this same writing on the 'Abba' side.  I assume it was put there by someone concerned with royalty-rights; it's a listing of the publishing and licensing co's.  On the B side is written 'Rikkie Terwilliger.'  Not a member of the Paragons.  The Terwilligers produced a couple of athletes in the Charlotte, NC area.
The Paragons made their TV debut with their original tune, "Abba", on the Village Square Program syndicated nationally out of Charlotte, on May 27, 1967.  Some members went on to be more well-known with other groups -- while their sole single has become highly sought after in the last 50 years.

"Abba" side has visually noticeable scuffs, bottom left quadrant, but they produce only two distinct 'pops.'   The first two thirds of the record I'd rate VG+, with the caveat that there are 7 or 8 very very low frequency thumps which don't affect the brightness and penetrative quality of the music.
"Better Man than I" -- this side I'd have to rate VG- because in the first few seconds there is the clear sound of bacon frying, although the music still dominates.  The rest of the record is mostly clean, dominant music, with some tiny ticks here and there.
I'd average it out at VG, but pay attention the the specific quality of each side.   It's an enormously Rare and Collectible record whose sources have about dried up.
