FIRST ‘-1’ MATRICES, ON BOTH SIDES **WITH** SOLD IN UK LABEL TEXT, AND WITH Mfd.in UK ON BOTH LABELS.
This Beatles album was released on the 17th January 1969, and was issued as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although it does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position, and at the same time The Beatles White Album was still sitting at No1 position in the UK album chart.
Album Description and Condition:
This album is on the traditional Green & White Half Apple Record Labels with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB Near Mint condition, undamaged record labels with nothing more than a couple of light centre spindle lines on both labels.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in stunning Near Mint condition, this is a beautiful undamaged Vinyl LP, showing only light signs of the LP being taken in and out of the inner bag, this is one of the best condition Yellow Submarine LPs that i have seen for a long time.
Side 1 matrix: YEX 715-1 and Side 2 YEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 R and Side 2: 1 P
The album comes in a Printed Apple Records inner bag which is in Very Good Plus condition, the bag shows light age toning and small seam split to the bottom edge..
The Vinyl LP is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, front LAMINATED sleeve, the reverse of the sleeve has two Horizontal RED lines either side of the sleeve notes.
The sleeve is a very nice example in Excellent condition. The front panel still retains its GLOSS SHINE, with only the mildest record indentation, and some visible scratches on the laminate, i have shown this in the scans below.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean, showing only minor handling signs to the gate edge, there are mild bumps to all four corners. All three flipbacks are undamaged, the spine edge too is undamaged and the wording to the spine edge is CLEARLY printed ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
The LP play’s through all the tracks with beautiful sound quality, there are no skips or clicks, all that can be heard is very, very mild background crackle on some of the orchestrated songs, otherwise a very nice clear Stereo sound Quality.
