FIRST ‘-1’ STAMPERS, ON BOTH SIDES **WITH** SOLD IN UK LABEL TEXT, AND WITH Mfd.in UK ON BOTH LABELS.
This Beatles album was released on the 17th January 1969, and was issued as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although it does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position, and at the same time The Beatles White Album was still sitting at No1 position in the UK album chart.
Album Description and Condition:
This album is on the traditional Green & White Apple Records Label with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB Excellent Plus condition, undamaged record labels with nothing more than a few spindle marks on both labels.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in Excellent condition, undamaged Vinyl Surfaces, showing only light surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Side 1 matrix: YEX 715-1 and Side 2 YEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 AO and Side 2: 4 AA
The album comes in a Printed Apple Records inner bag which is in Very Good condition, the bag shows age toning and a couple of small seam splits.
The Vinyl LP is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, front LAMINATED sleeve, there is no reference to the sleeve makers name in the usual place on the bottom flip back, the reverse of the sleeve has two Horizontal RED lines either side of the sleeve notes.
The sleeve is a respectable example in Excellent Minus condition. The front panel still retains its GLOSS SHINE, with only the mildest record indentation. The reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean, showing only minor handling signs to the gate edge, there are mild bumps to all four corners. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED, with just age toning, the spine edge too is UNDAMAGED and the wording to the spine edge is CLEARLY printed ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
The LP play’s through all the tracks very well, there are no skips or clicks, all that can be heard is mild background crackle otherwise a very nice clear Stereo sound Quality.
