Description

The Beatles double album, known as the "White Album". Top opening 1968 UK mono pressing. Extremely low numbered sleeve # 0047588. Complete with the two black inner sleeves, poster and the four photographs.

The Garrod and Lofthouse top opening gatefold sleeve has the usual slight yellowing through age and the lamination is split along the spine. There is light ringwear, a couple of stain marks on the rear and some creasing of the lamination.

The four glossy photographs are in excellent condition with no pinholes or tape residue. The same is true of the poster.

The delicate black inner sleeves are a bit shabby. One is taped where it has been ripped and the other has some tears.

All four labels are crisp and clean with no writing or notable spindle wear and only the feintist evidence of any 'spidering'. All of the labels omit the "An EMI recording" statement.

There are surface marks to the vinyl which do create some background noise on playing the album through. Which is mainly discernible during the run-ins. There is no sticking or jumping of the stylus anywhere during playing these records.

The matrix and stampers are: side 1 - XEX709-1 '4' GRR / side 2 - XEX710-1 '7' TR / side 3 - XEX711-1 '2' RL / side 4 - XEX712-1 '4' TO.
