Description
This is a 10.5" metal reel with Ampex tape on it (mostly). The spool is in good condition, but a could do with a bit of a clean up. I haven't bothered, because I didn't mind. Its okay for recording stuff on, but as I didn't over record on it, I doubt you will either. But I can't sell you what's recorded on the tape, so you are buying the raw material.
Recorded on a 2 track mastering machine in the recording studio (a long time ago), this is The Beatles, at 7.5ips. The tracks you may know. These versions you probably won't.
- Thursday 16th April 1964 'A Hard Days Night (take 6 and 7)

- Thursday 8th October 1964 'She's A Woman' (take 7)
- Sunday 18th October 1964 'I Feel Fine' (take 6 and 7)
- Thursday 16th February 1965 'Yes It Is' (take 1 and 2)
- Thursday 18th February 1965 'If You've Got Troubles' (take 1)
- Saturday 20th February 1965 'That Means A Lot' (take 2)
- Tuesday 13th April 1965 'Help!' (take 1,2, and 3)
- Tuesday 12th October 1965 'Norwegian Wood (take 1)
- Saturday 16th October 1965 'Day Tripper' (take 1, 2 and 3)
- Wednesday 20th October 1965 'We Can Work It Out' (take 1 and 2)
You hear the appalling guitar solos and muttered lyrics. A few bum notes. Songs that sound recognisable but very raw. Somehow, it just makes them human after all. They were gods to me in my youth, but even access to these recordings only makes me appreciate what they gave me and even now make me aspire to.
But, you could record over it all with a resounding - Bah! Humbug.
