Description

In this auction:

·       “SOMETHING NEW” LP by the Beatles

·       This LP is Capitol Records ST - 2108.

·       This is a STEREO PRESSING.

·       This LP was originally issued July 20, 1964.

·       This is a FIRST STEREO PRESSING. We know this because the German translator’s name is incorrectly spelled as “Nicholas” instead of “Nicolas” in the label credits.

·       It is an East Coast Stereo Pressing. This LP was pressed at Capitol Records’ Scranton plant because there is no number printed on the rear cover at lower right.

·       Furthermore, the VINYL has the “?” in the trail-off wax. This is the symbol Capitol Records used to identify vinyl pressed at its Scranton Pressing Plant.

·       Therefore, this Scranton cover and Scranton vinyl are correctly paired/matched.

·       NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with a higher grade cover and vinyl, but NOT correctly matched to the same pressing plant. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.

·       The COVER is graded VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION. There is very light overall cover wear. There is very light wear on the front cover near the top and bottom. There is also a very small and light fold/crease at the top right corner. The primarily white rear cover is nice and clean with only very light aging near the opening and spine. There is only a slight hint of wear on 1 corner, and the seams and spine are perfect!!

·       This primarily black cover is a tough cover to find without wear.  It was prone to show wear very easily; however, this one has only very light wear on the front cover just near the top and bottom.

·       The VINYL is GRADED NICE VG CONDITION with light surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feel-able”). The vinyl has NICE GLOSS.

·       The vinyl also comes with its ORIGINAL BLUE CAPITOL RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE which is the correct sleeve for this FIRST PRESSING.

An ORIGINAL FIRST STEREO PRESSING of this BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection!
