Description

As many Beatles Collectors know there were many label variations associated with "The Beatles Second Album." This is a Stereo ST-2080 issue. This is a rare Capitol Scranton pressing with a running time for "Long Tall Sally" but NOT for "I Call Your Name."!

The very first pressing of the album omitted the running times for the first two tracks on Side 2, ("Long Tall Sally" and "I Call Your Name.")
The second revised label variation corrected this mistake and added the running times to both tracks.
The next revision took place when Capitol Records changed the publishing credits for "I Call Your Name" from ASCAP to BMI.
However, after this change, another mistake was discovered! The running time was dropped for "I Call Your Name", but the running time remained for "Long Tall Sally."

Now, many people believe that this was the final label variation for this title.... Ah, not so!!
I have an example of "The Beatles Second Album, Stereo that is a 1968 / 1969 Subsidiary issue of this record with just the running time for "Long Tall Sally."  This late Sixties label variation rarity has not been documented by any Beatles experts or collectors!!
I will be listing this super rare record in the near future.
If anyone has any questions on either of the above two rare and rarest issues of "The Beatles Second Album", please feel free to ask.
