The Beatles: Rubber Soul Mono 2nd Press TNR label. 4/4 Matrix. Tested. Excellent audio. Original tracing-paper-lined Use Emitex die-cut inner.

PLAY TESTED. ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING. TRULY EXCELLENT AUDIO/NEAR MINT FOR THE MOST PART. SUPERB!!

Complete and original U.K. Album, issued by Parlophone (yellow & black labels) between 1966 & 1969. (PMC 1267) Mono.

2nd pressing, variation A-2, with TNR labels. Matrix 579-4 & 580-4. KT embossed tax code to side 2.

Variation B pressings, although still the second press, have matrix numbers 5/5.

AUDIO: EXCELLENT/CLOSE TO NEAR MINT FOR THE MOST PART.

The heavyweight vinyl is near silent on side 1 intro, with just a little crackle between ‘Norwegian Wood’ and ‘You Won’t See Me’ , and barely audible static between ‘The Word’ and Michelle’. Truly excellent.

Again, near silent on intro to side 2, and just a little static after ‘Looking Through You’, and one ‘pop’ after ‘If I Needed Someone’.

If not for these light audio blemishes, the whole album would be near mint.

VISUAL: VG+

VG+ playing surfaces, with the marks/hairlines/light scratches that you’d expect of a near 60yr old record. Nothing deep/feelable or anything that notably affects playback. Side 1 slightly cleaner than side 2.

SLEEVE: EXCELLENT.

The front laminate retains much of its original lustre, and colour, with just some very minor/light scuffing to right hand side corners. Very light creasing elsewhere.

The rear is also VG++/excellent, and if not for the red pen marks, would be excellent with no hesitation. No lifting of the Garrod & Lofthouse flip-backs, and very little in the way of marks/scuffs.

All four tear corners are strong, as is the spine, with very little creasing.

Very little edge ware to top and bottom.

Overall, in excellent condition.

INNER - TRACING PAPER-LINED EMITEX INNER. VG++

The inner, is in great shape. No seam splits, graffiti, or tares. There’s a little creasing, a tiny tape repair to window, though again the overall condition is minimum VG++

LABELS: EXCELLENT.

Side 1:

Clean, graffiti free, bright, with just a little spindle ware.

Side 2:

As above, if not cleaner.

KT embossed tax code.

So in conclusion, this is a minimum VG++ 2nd Mono press, with truly excellent audio, of The Beatles 6th studio album. The sleeve and original Emitex inner are also in really great shape, giving an overall grading of excellent; largely because the audio is just so superb.
