Description
This is the original 1st UK pressing of the album "Rubber Soul" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label, catalogue number PMC 1267. Matrix numbers: Side 1, XEX 579-1. Side 2, XEX 580-1. Stampers Side 1, P @ 3 O'clock, 2@ 9 O'clock. Side 2, GDD @ 3 O'clock, 3 @ 9 O'clock. Side 2 has the embossed KT tax stamp. Labels are in pristine condition showing only one or two light spindle lines each side. Vinyl on side 1 gleams like a mirror, the only down side is one light scuff from the middle of track 2 to the middle of track 3. This does not sound. Side 2 is unmarked and in NEAR MINT condition. Tracing lined Emitex inner is in NEAR MINT condition.
The Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve is in an outstanding EX+++ condition.
I have played this album on a fully restored Pye Black Box and it sounds outstanding. Had it not been for the light scuff on side 1, this would be NEAR MINT.
