Revolver - by The Beatles.
First Pressing with Remix 11 of "Tomorrow Never Knows"!
This is a first pressing from the first day or two of production of this album, including Remix 11 of Tomorrow Never Knows, which was put on the disc by mistake by the engineers instead of Remix 8! This is one very sought-after disc!
The disc looks very good - not perfect, there are several light scratches, but generally these don't sound much. The problem is that there's distortion throughout the LP, presumably someone either was using a record player with a very heavy tracking weight, or else a chipped stylus. Either way, sound quality is very good except for the crackle. If you're playing this on a mono deck it sounds better, of course, as it's a mono disc. Check out the sound sample below for how it sounds - including the first and last tracks of each side, as these are almost always the worst damaged. It is quite listenable, but it's definitely not the cleanest audio copy you'll find.
The outer sleeve is a little creased, but generally pretty good, nothing too wrong with it. I'm not sure if the inner sleeve is original or not (they weren't using the Emitex sleeve by 1966, as far as I'm aware).
I've cleaned this disc on my ClearAudio record cleaning machine - if you wish more photos or sound clips from the LP please email me and I'll be happy to oblige.
In the meantime, here's excerpts from the first and last tracks on each side. Note this is in mono, however, if you play it on a stereo deck it may sound worse in one channel (like any other mono disc!)
