Description
For sale is a copy of The Beatles sixth studio album, Revolver.
This is an original UK STEREO 1st Pressing produced in 1966 which features the sought after black and yellow Parlophone labels.
This copy has the rare Variation B labels which correctly spell Track 4 Side 2 as Doctor Rober (Dr. Robert on Variation A).
Mono recordings were still sold in higher quantities than Stereo recordings in 1966 which makes this an extremely rare record.

Many vinyl records are mis-sold on eBay. There are several details which identify this copy as a true 1st pressing. They are:
· Front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve.
· ‘Doctor Robert’ written as ‘Dr. Robert’ on the rear of the sleeve.
· Black labels with yellow Parlophone logo.
· ‘Taxman’ and ‘Eleanor Rigby’ printed on separate lines on Side 1 of the label.
· ‘PCS 7009’ catalogue number.
· Matrix numbers YEX 605-1 (side 1) and YEX 606-1 (side 2).
I try to take pictures which provide a fair representation of the condition of a record and the sleeve. If interested, please read below for a detailed discussion including an audio description.
I use the Goldmine standard as a reference for grading.
Vinyl: Very Good +
The vinyl is in great visual condition with superb playback.
The vinyl surface retains the original gloss sheen.
The labels are clean and bright and have minimal spindle wear.
There are hairline marks to both sides but none that can be felt or that effect playback.
The audio on both sides is accurately graded as excellent; clear vocals, punchy bass, and crisp details.
There is very little dust crackle and no skips or jumps.
Sleeve: Very Good +
The sleeve is in great condition.
The front is very clean with only a couple of laminate ripples.
The rear shows subtle signs of discolouration.
The flipbacks are clean and intact.
The corners are strong, and the spine and edges are well defined.
There are no rips, tears or writing present anywhere on the sleeve.
Inner Sleeve: Excellent
The inner sleeve is the original EMI advertising inner sleeve.
It is very clean without any staining or discolouration.
There is no writing or creasing.
Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality inner sleeve which provides the best possible protection for the record.
This is a great example of an extremely rare Beatles record. It would be a great addition to any collection!
The outer sleeve, vinyl, and inner sleeve are all housed separately within a premium quality polythene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent insured within a padded vinyl record mailer.
