Description

The Beatles: Revolver UK MONO Vinyl LP - DR. ROBERT Misprint On Sleeve & Record.

PLEASE READ:

Vinyl: VG+ - there is a long superficial surface hairline on side one covering tracks 3 to 7 which has not come out in the photograph but it can be seen in daylight when the record is held at a certain angle. Hence the VG+ grading. The record plays through fine without any skips or jumps and had hitherto not been played for 30 years.

Sleeve - excellent condition as has been kept in a plastic sleeve since 1966.

Inner sleeve - in great shape, albeit creased on one corner where it has been stored in the outer sleeve.

NB This is the first press AFTER the infamous -1/-1 cut. This is an original 1966 pressing which can be identified by the misspelling of DR ROBERT on both the vinyl label and outer sleeve - see the last two photographs. In addition, this is the rare 1966 variant

Matrix / Runout (Side A runout stamped): XEX 605-2

Matrix / Runout (Side B runout stamped): XEX 606-3

The later 1966 to 69 mono pressings with the corrected DOCTOR ROBERT had the -2/ -2 cut.

While the record is in great shape, regardless of it being 55 years old, odd marks here and there can be seen when viewed and scrutinised from multiple angles under bright lighting.

PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE EXPECTING AN ALMOST PERFECT RECORD. THANK YOU.

Record Collectors Grading system

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
