Description
This is the First Stereo Press from August of 1966. This LP was released on Aug. 8th and I picked it up on Aug.-15 of 1966 as noted in my ratings.
Matrix = ST1 - 2576- A5 / ST-2-2576-86 2- both sides have tiny "AM" triangles.
This LP plays Very Good + to Excellent and is Extremely clean with no surface noise.
Capitol - ST 2576 The label DOES NOT HAVE " subsidiary of capitol" listed on it. Side 1 - Sounds Very Good + to Excellent with little to no needle presence. Side 2 - Plays Very Good + to Excellent with little to no sound of a needle. This LP plays extremely clean with no surface noise. Vinyl looks VG and has plenty of shine. Cover is VG to VG- /spine is mostly clear taped and none of the writing is clear. Bottom seam is held tightly with both clear tape and a 3 inch piece of black tape. Sorry about that ! I was always more concerned about protecting the vinyl than I was the cover. Top seam is also clear taped about 7 inches. The corners are dogged. Art work is VG on the front cover and VG- on rear and the linear notes are mostly clear. Apologies for the taped rating's and the writing inside of the title on back cover. Ratings along with date of purchase and price paid are in ink. There is also a 1 by 1 1/2 inch "irregular" sticker that an "x" put on with a note ??? This is the original inner sleeve. I have play tested every listed album using Goldmine & Metrowax as my grading guides and the ratings are based mostly on what I hear. I purchased every album brand new and always removed the shrink in an attempt to avoid warping, (Old wives tale?) and all were played only on a diamond needle.
All records are from my personal collection unless otherwise noted. Most of the early and mid-60’s LP’s include the “Russo record rating system” – these ratings are written in ink and include purchase date, price and store. The majority contain original inner sleeves and if not a sleeve will be included. Please see photo’s for spindle wear and label condition and the song listings.
This LP will be shipped in a 3mm thick vinyl bag and the entire package will be bubble wrapped and mailed in pro grade LP box.
