Description

An original 1st issue on UK Parlophone. Matrix 2/2. NOT the very 1st press with alternate TNK mix. This is a clean 1st issue from whilst charting. How do we know it is early? Because Dr.Robert can be found on the labels abbreviated. As Revolver was 1st released Lennon stepped in and asked for the track not to be abbreviated in this way(understandably!). Copies from there on in would mention..DOCTOR. The early copies are heavy pressed and sound fab. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We also have the original inner from the time too 'patents applied for'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and clearly has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one brief minor deviation. A consistently great playing copy. Good low level detail and this is deffo THE way to hear this classic LP. Why risk a 50/50 copy? I'm getting a touch of brief low level presence in a couple of the fussiest moments...and that is it. Only the quality early copies that have seen light use seem to survive. If you try anything later that has seen moderate use...it usually shows noticably in those quiet fussy tracks. Overall - a really nice clean player of this title. And that is super important on this title.
Cover (Vg) Not up to the standard of the vinyl but quite acceptable.. Pretty clean surfaces. Just a small touch of ageing grubiness creeping in at the spine edge. Pics to illustrate.. Nice firm openings.The image on the rear is preserved well. Some wear and grubbiness on the flipbacks - i can actually clean these up a good bit.The spine shows some wear but most text still legible. Overall the over retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
