Description
I am continuing to clear out some duplicates of some BEATLES and BEATLES-RELATED LPs from my collection. So, please check my other auctions.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “REVOLVER” by The Beatles
· This is Capitol Records ST-8-2576.
· This LP is a RARE CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING. It has an “8” in front of the normal catalog number and “Manufactured under license” printed on the labels.
· This RECORD CLUB PRESSING was issued in 1969 to 1971.
· This pressing has the revised cover, normally found with this LP, that has a black border and 3 white bars.
· These RECORD CLUB PRESSINGS have become VERY SOUGHT AFTER for their RARITY due to the very limited quantities pressed.
· You had to be a member of the Capitol Record Club to originally buy and have this LP mailed to you!! No one walked into a record store from 1969 to 1971 and bought this Record Club Pressing off the rack!
· The 3 white bars and the catalog number ST-8-2576 printed at the top right corner on the rear cover identifies this Cover to be a RECORD CLUB ISSUE. (Please check the images.)
· The Record Club Issue of this LP has become a tough pressing to find these days.
· The COVER is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ Condition with rather light overall wear on the front and rear cover slicks. (Check the images and you’ll see.) There are a couple of small corner pushes and some wear (feathering) on the top and bottom right corners at the opening. (Check images.) There is also 1 ½ and 2 ½ inch signs of cracking/splitting in the middle of the top and bottom seams most likely caused by the vinyl disc itself. Looks like the possible beginning of seam splits. There is a nicely partially repaired 3-inchseam split on the top seam at the opening. There is a tiny bit of old sticker residue near the top right corner under the word “STEREO”. The list of blemishes seems long, but just check the images and you’ll see how nice the front and rear covers of this LP are!!!
· The VINYL is NICE VG+ with just some light surface hairlines/scuffs but still has lots of gloss.
· Note that the UNIQUE RECORD CLUB CATALOG NUMBER ST-8-2576 IS PRINTED ON BOTH LABELS.
· If you’re missing this one from your vinyl collection, here is your chance to add it.
