Description
The Beatles - Rubber Soul, Dec 1965 2nd UK STEREO Press, Parlophone, PCS 3075.
The 2nd stereo pressing quickly followed the original -2/-2 matrix at the end of December 1965. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' printed at the start perimeter print and 'Sold in U.K.' text. Tracing-paper-lined 'Use Emitex' die-cut inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
1st Labels: Black label with yellow logo and silver print. 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' printed at the start perimeter print and 'Sold in U.K.' text.
Sleeve: Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. front laminated flipback cover.
Stampers: 2 GM / 2 GR
Inner: Original EMITEX tracing paper lined inner.
CONDITION:
The Disc
The disc sits completely flat on the turntable with no warping or dishing. In good natural light the record looks glossy and clean with one no-sounding surface mark on side one. When viewed under strong direct halogen spotlight no further marks or issues are visible. A superb example, EXCELLENT PLUS/NEAR MINT!
The Audio
A fantastic listening experience. Quiet lead-ins and between tracks. No disturbance from obtrusive pops, clicks, or crackle. Clearly no skips or sticks in this condition, EXCELLENT PLUS/NEAR MINT!
The Sleeve
The sleeve is in lovely condition, glossy clean front with no ring wear, fully readable spine without wear and clean matte back, a few light short crease lines at the spine only. EXCELLENT PLUS!
The Inner
Original EMITEX tracing paper lined inner sleeve. No splits, rips or stains, and lining is fully intact. EXCELLENT PLUS!
