THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'


This superb sounding UK 2nd STEREO pressing dates from early-1969 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075

'Norwegian Wood' is misspelt on the side 1 label as 'Norweigian Wood.

Just a handful of copies with these labels escaped the factory before the error was spotted.

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rims.

Stamper codes: 2/RM & 2/GT

Vinyl weight: 141g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.

Complete with original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Labels: MINT -

An immaculate pair bearing just one or two extremely faint spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole only.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Exceptionally clean, still retaining that deep-gloss factory shine showing only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve removal directly beneath halogen light.

Audio: MINT -

Played just once or twice on quality equipment only, the sound throughout is clean, warm & clear with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or background interference. Even the delicate and easily worn 'Michelle' plays perfectly. Aside from a little low-level vinyl background between tracks, our play-check detected no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions. An outstanding example.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A fine clean, fully intact example with very light storagewear only. The front panel laminate retains a high-gloss finish with just a faint disc impression from storage & a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle on Paul's face. There is slight shelfwear to the corners tips but no damage to either opening edge. The exposed rear panel is perfectly clean & white with fully intact flipbacks, seams and a fully worded spine.

Inner-sleeve: MINT -

Clean & uncreased with fully intact seams.
