The Beatles Past Masters Volumes One & Two on double vinyl with gatefold sleeve
After EMI/Capitol finished re-issuing the Beatles catalog they issued this set to cover the remaining tracks that were not on their original album catalog.
Issued as a gatefold, on Capitol's purple label which also has the Parlophone logo above the "1" "2" "3" and "4" on the left side.
Has Capitol oval and Parlophone logos along the bottom back cover.
This was pressed at Specialty Records Corporation, Los Angeles, one of the plants that Capitol used at the time after they closed their own plants. It's identified in the matrix by a large S with small R and C inside the S.
This is a fantastic copy - test played to confirm condition which I would rate as follows:
Vinyl VG+ / EX. Both Flat and shiny with minimal surface marks. Play superbly, no jumps whatsoever and sound fantastic . Do have some slight of crackle in places and between some tracks. The labels are clean with very little wear.
Cover VG+. See photos. Does have some wear and signs of age. A Good strong spine.
Inners are the original rice paper liners.
