On offer today, a factory sample pressing of the 1966 UK 7" single by The Beatles titled: "Paperback Writer / Rain" on the black and silver Parlophone label. It is in very good condition overall.

Side 1: Track 1: Paperback Writer 
Side 2: Track 1: Rain

The record comes housed in its original Parlophone sleeve in very good condition.
Matrix side 1: 7XCE 18380-2 (KT 3 PT) Matrix side 2: 7XCE 18381-2 (KT 2 PT) 
Side 1 condition: Side 1 plays through very well with no jumps or sticks. There is very little background noise throughout and the production quality is strikingly clear. 8.5 / 10.

The surface has an very good shine with a few light surface lines but no heavy marks or heavy scratches. 8/10.
The Parlophone label on side 1, with a Factory Sample sticker, is very good plus with very little wear and no fading to the text or background. There is bit of evidence of light spider trails, and a number lightly written. 8/10
Side 2 condition:
Side 2 plays through equally well with some evidence of light background noise but the production sounds awesome. There are no sticks and no jumps but there is some background noise throughout. 8 / 10
The surface of the record on side 2 is very good with a few light hairlines. It does not have any heavy scratches on the surface. 8/10.
The label on side 2 is excellent with very little fading to the text or to the background. There is very little evidence of spider trails around the centre hole and no noticeable fading. 8.5/10
The Parlophone company sleeve is in very good condition with no splits or tears. There is a bit of light creasing and light discolouration on the front and rear, and the print is very good plus with very little fading. 8/10
