Description

The Beatles "Let it Be" Boxed set
UK 'PXS 1'
This boxed set has been in my sole possession since I purchased it new in 1970.
It has only been played about 6 times. It was taped as soon as i bought it and then put away.
It is complete and contains all original, un-restored items.
I will describe each parts condition to the best of my ability.

1. Outer Slipcase
The slipcase is very clean. It retains its high gloss laminate to both sides.Very slight rubbing to the left and right edges.
The bottom left corner has a half inch tear (see pic).
No creasing of the laminate to the front and 1 small crease to the rear.

2. Outer tray
Has held its shape with no crushing. Some very slight rubbing on the folded over edges. Has the crescent shaped edges. Slightly more rubbing to the lower bottom left corner. The rear is very clean.

3.Inner tray
Possibly the most fragile part. Has a tear to 1 of the corners and tiny stresses to 2 others. None have gone right through.See pic for the worst, otherwise in very good condition.

4.The Book
This is in excellent condition. Only ever been flicked through. Fully intact with minor handling marks. Spine is un-cracked with no damaged, missing or loose pages.

5.LP record (cover).
The cover is in excellent condition. Fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the red apple logo to the rear. Has very slight rubbing to the opening edges. No laminate problems to the front or rear.

6. Slip cover
Has the original crisp bright white slip cover with the patent No 1,125,555 printed on the bottom left corner. Has no tears, rips or writing.

7. Record sides 1 & 2
Has Matrix Nos YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U. The labels show some light spindle lines but no other signs of wear. Both surfaces are clean and glossy with no significant surface marks or wear visible. Both sides show some whispy hairlines. There is some dust evident but I do not want to remove this as I do not have any suitable cleaning material. This disc has had very careful play by me so there will be no groovewear distortion or any deterioration to the sound quality.

I believe this to be an excellent example of this sought after box set. I have stored it carefully for nearly 40 years.
I hope it brings the next owner as much pleasure as i have had from owning it.
Good Luck.
