Description
The Beatles - Let it Be Box Set 1970 "PXS 1" in superb condition!!!
As every one knows the "PXS 1" suffix was for ordering purposes only and does not appear anywhere on the Box Set.
The Box Set was almost immediately discontinued in favour of the Album,and as such is a rare item in any condition.Condition is the determining factor,as the package was of quite flimsy construction,and very few have survived intact in anything like the condition of this item.Although not an expert this is far and away the best example i have seen!!
Intact and original, this outstanding item consists of:
Outer Sleeve;this has wonderful sheen(quite hard to photograph) front and back-has 2 small creases on front with no tears or splits.
Inner Tray; Perfect condition-as it left the factory, without need for the running repairs (taping and glueing)almost always seen.
Book;In nearly mint condition-everything tight and as unread.The binding looks as if some air has got under the lamination-this was certainly as it left the factory.Just a couple of small brown marks on first 2/3 pages.
Record Sleeve;High gloss,just the odd small crease-at least an Excellent grading (Has the vital Red Apple)
Dust cover; The correct white cover with "Patent NO. 1,125,555" and MADE IN ENGLAND text. - Ex condition.
Vinyl;High gloss, a few faint trails - grades as Ex.
Has the important 2u/2u matrices
Stampers are Side 1 - GDR at 3.00 o'clock
Side 2 - G at 10.00 o'clock
GDR at 3.00 o'clock
Labels; At least Excellent.
Overall, a wonderful copy of a very sought after Beatles piece of recording history.
One of these went through recently as "near mint" but i have been probably a tad overcautious in my description, but i have never seen a better copy all round.
