The Beatles - Let it be - original Box Set - Red Apple - Matrix 2U/2U - original 1970 first pressing - absolutely genuine complete 1st UK Pressing. Extremely rare and highly collectible.
I'll go through each section of this complex and fragile Beatles rarity.
The Poster - very elusive and by far the rarest part of this box set.The poster was never an integral part of this release but a few copies did go to the shops with this mini advertising poster. This copy is an original and NOT a repro version. It has no tears or rips and no pin holes. It is a little creased but would still grade as a strong excellent. The box set is rare but to find a copy with the poster is rarer still.
The vinyl - Excellent condition. It has no scratches, I could detect a few hairlines when scrutinised under a spotlight but it looks like it has had very few plays. I play tested and it had no skips,repeats or clicks or pops. Minor crackle could be heard in between the tracks but nothing out of the ordinary.
The LP sleeve is EX+ condition. No tears or rips, no unwanted writing, No scuffs. Super straight edges, sharp corners, perfect spine and has very obviously been kept in the box. Don't forget this is the original 1st pressing with the red apple on the back.
The book is complete and in excellent condition. Please note it does have 6 loose pages. I have done my best to not open the book, it is so super delicate that just touching it seems to cause stress to the spine. I've kept the photos to a minimum, I would never dare to open it wide and try to flatten it. The front,back and spine have no creases and I suspect has not been looked at to any great extent.
The inner tray- this is not torn or ripped through as nearly all seem to be. It does have two small tears on two of the inner corners but these are no more than a couple if millimetres and really this fragile inner is as good as you can get. Please check photos.
Bottom outer tray- no tears or rips and generally in very good condition. A few creases on flaps and slight scuffing on the corners.
Outer slip case- front - glossy and in excellent condition, one crease on top right hand corner above Paul. Back - shiny and glossy with just some general shelf wear. Sides - just a little general scuffing nothing major or too obtrusive. Corners- minor scuffs on 3 corners and the just a little more on the top left hand corner by John - please see photo , I have photographed the worst corner.
