Description
The Beatles "Let it Be" Box set
This box set was passed to me from my father who purchased it new in 1970. He was a huge Beatles fan and left me many collectable items which I am currently selling, a haven for a Beatles fanatic.
It is complete and contains all the original items. I have taken many very detailed photos and below I have tried to describe each part and the condition it is in to the best of my ability.
- The slipcase is clean and retains its high gloss laminate to both sides. It has wear and tear rubbing to the edges and worn in the corners, the top right hand corner has a small 1cm tear on the fold. No creasing to the front or back of the laminate and a few minor creases towards the edges.
- The trays are probably the most worn parts as it is a well known fact that they are the most fragile parts of the set. These can be replaced for a couple of pounds but the originals are much more valuable. There is wear and tear to the edges a couple of tears but it is still all intact and you can still place the book inside. There is a tear to the bottom right hand side, only about 1cm wide.
- The book is in very good condition. Fully intact, spine is un-cracked with no damaged pages. Slight bubbling from the lamination near to the spine on front of this book (see pics).
- LP Record cover has no major tears or rips. It is worn to the edges but no creases or damage to the centre. Fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the red apple logo to the rear.
- The Slip cover has the original crisp bright white slip cover with the patent No 1,125,555 printed on the bottom left corner.
- The record has Matrix Number YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U. The labels show some light spindle lines but no other signs of wear. Both surfaces are clean and glossy with no significant surface marks or wear visible. Both sides show a minor amount of very superficial/whispy hairlines. This disc would have been very carefully played and looked after by my father by me so there will be no groovewear distortion or any deterioration to the sound quality.

Good Luck Bidding.
Very sorry to the bidders of the previous listing. I ended this listing as the title was spelt wrong and had been bidded on which then blocked me from correcting it. Therefore the only way of correcting it was to end it and relist. Please have the confidence in bidding this time.
