Rarity & Brief Info: Rare: this box set did not sell as well as many would have predicted possibly due to cost. It was only available for a relatively brief time before being reissued as a standard single cover set. The first boxed version cover included a red Apple logo on the back .The standard reissue cover had the more familiar green Apple. The set included a superb 160 page book with gorgeous pictures from the film. This one has NO loose pages at all. Unfortunately, it’s near impossible to take any inside pictures of this book, I simply am not going to risk damage as so few are ever seen quite like this.
The Lower Tray: Is intact.But is in poor condition and covered in a plastic film.
The Upper Tray: Is missing, however full tray sets can be purchased on ebay.
The Book: Is intact with all pages no lose ones in really nice condition.The cover of this book has been covered with a plastic film.
The Record Cover: This is very thin and flimsy too, it has the correct Apple red logo on the back (seen in my photo close-up).
Album Played : Yes. I have played the album before listing it, and still plays alright. The album has been played regularly but always with care. There are minor scratches but these do not interfere with the enjoyment of listening to this superb album.
The number of boxed ‘Let It Be’ sets are greatly diminishing in number lately, and it is worth noting that as within other sets, the book in this set needs be treated with as much care possible and NOT opened fully, or the currently intact and un-interfered with pages WILL loosen and fall out.
I am also including several original press cuttings about the album and the break up of the Beatles taken from the music papers in May 1970 including an article by John Peel .
This album was purchased by me on the release date in 1970, and has given me years of pleasure.
